Etsy (www.etsy.com) is an online marketplace for buying and selling all things
handmade. Though launched only one year ago, we have over 100,000
members, 25,000 of whom are sellers. We attribute our early successes to the
innovative ways we differ from ordinary e-commerce sites. Instead of looking to
physical storefronts for ideas, we developed ways to shop only possible on the
Web. On Etsy you can shop by color, by geographic location and whiz through a
three-dimensional time machine. Truly, Etsy is as unique as the one-of-a kind
items our users create.
Some facts about Etsy.com: 1. Etsy was conceived by Robert Kalin and Chris Maguire, and built by them
